By sheer dumb luck I happened to be in Berlin when I spotted that Kave was playing the Columbia Theater. I'd heard Gaho's work before and had always been impressed with his vocal technique, but when I found his other outlet Kave I was hooked. Come on, we all know I love a big groove and dirty synths.

I was truly expecting this to be Gaho and his session musicians on stage, but I can honestly say they were exceptional. A tight knit unit of talented musicians enjoying every second on stage. Gaho is obviously a seasoned frontman. He oozes magnetism on stage, casting a spell on his eager German fans. Taking to the floor at open point, he made his way through the exceptionally respectful audience stopping to sing and dance in the pit. However, the main star of the show was actually the camaraderie between the guys. It’s really easy to spot the session players in the room, and it was obvious that these guys have sat for hours together shooting shit and writing melody upon melody. The whole show felt like a cathartic release for them.

I’ll freely admit on the way home I was contemplating joining the audience in London too.
